The Rupert Rotary club announces the first annual Texas Hold’em Tournament to benefit the Rotary Scholarship Fund.

Join us at the Rupert Elks, Friday January 21, 2011 at 7pm for fun, Hold’em,  prizes and and more.  First prize is a Sun Valley Ski or Golf package valued at $575.  Proceeds will be used to fund Mini-Cassia high school scholarships.

The event will include a no-host bar.  Entry buy-in is $35 with $10 Rebuys.  Must be 21 to attend, ID required.

Each year Rupert Rotary honors outstanding students with Rupert Rotary Scholarships.

This year, the Rupert Rotary is pleased to honor the 2010 Rupert Rotary Scholarship winners, pictured from left to right: Lexi Koyle, daughter of Darrel and Cheryl Koyle; Ryan Stocking, son of Layne and Liz Stocking; and, Kelli Kindig, daughter of Dan and Stacy Kindig. The Scholarship award was presented by Dr. Bill Willams, pictured letf. Each Minico High School graduate received $750 for vocational schooling or college.

Members of Rupert Rotary joined together on May 12, 2010, to perform highway cleanup between the Rupert Animal Hospital and the Wayside complex. Rupert Rotary performs this community service twice a year, May and September, and is proud to do its part to keep our community clean and beautiful.
